Dr. Jennifer C. Blake, M.D.

Dr. Jennifer C. Blake, M.D., currently serves as the civilian Deputy Commander for Clinical Services (DCCS) at Andrew Rader US Army Health Clinic at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, VA. She is a Board Certified Physician with the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, having graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the State University of New York’s Stony Brook Hospital in Long Island, NY, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Upon completion of her residency, she entered private practice in Long Island, NY at a large family practice facility. She then relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where she began her civilian federal service as a Family Practice Medical Officer at the Quantico Naval Health Clinic. She then transferred to Rader Clinic as a Medical Officer, and eventually became the Chief of Primary Care. She relocated overseas for two years in the United Arab Emirates during her husband’s tour with the U.S. Department of Defense in that country. While living in the UAE, she worked in private practice at Al Zahra (Pvt.) Medical Centre in Dubai, as both a Family Physician and as the Medical Director of the facility. She also worked simultaneously in a part-time capacity as the Medical Officer of the U.S. Consulate in Dubai. Upon transfer back to the Washington, D.C area, she returned to the Andrew Rader US Army Health Clinic.

Dr. Blake belongs to numerous professional associations to include the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Thomas Jefferson Medical Alumni Association; she is also an alumnus of the Academic Honor Societies Lambda Sigma, and Phi Eta Sigma.

During her career, Dr. Blake has received numerous awards for providing outstanding medical care to include a certificate of recognition from a U.S. Senator; the Lloyd Cutler Award; a Chairman’s Award; and various awards and recognitions by clinic and hospital heads where she has worked throughout her career.
