We strive everyday to provide the best diagnostic laboratory support to your Health Care Provider in a team effort to provide you with the best care anywhere. Our laboratory has made it OUR standard to continuously exceed the MEDCOM standard for patient wait times, ensuring that you not only get quality service but also don’t have to wait very long to get it. Our lab is frequented by patients throughout the National Capital Region because of our reputation for both speed and accuracy in obtaining specimens from our patients with courteous and patient centered service, a reputation we work hard to uphold every day.
In House Testing
These tests are done in our laboratory and are usually done in 24 hours.
BMP: Basic Metabolic Panel
CBC: Complete Blood Count
UA: Urinalysis Panel
ESR: Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
HCG: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (Qualitative)
Mono: Mononucleosis spot test
Strep Screen: Rapid Group A streptococcus test
Flu Ag: Rapid Influenza antigen test
Hemoccult: Fecal Occult Blood Test
Send out Tests
All other tests are sent out to our surrounding Major MTF’s (FBCH and WRNNMC) for processing and testing. These tests generally have a 24 to 48 hour turnaround time.
Any non-standard (esoteric) tests are sent out to an outside reference facility and may take up to two weeks to receive results.
Regulations prohibit any release of laboratory results to an individual other than a Health Care Provider. Please contact your HCP or Outpatient Medical Records (703-696-7984) or (1st floor, room 1017) to obtain copies.
