The dental clinic is located in Building 525, Carpenter Road, Fort Myer, VA 22211. Hours of operation are Mon- - Fri: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are currently four dental officers and two full-time hygienists. To schedule an appointment, please walk in or phone 703-696-3460 during normal duty hours. To make an appointment by telephone, your dental records must be present in the dental clinic. After normal duty hours, if you have a valid dental emergency (trauma, large facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing), you must report to the Emergency Room at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
The Andrew Rader Dental Clinic does not provide routine care to Retiree or Family members. Enrollment forms and booklets for the Tricare Active Duty Family Member Dental Plan may be obtained at the clinic during normal duty hours

* Dental Class 1 - No treatment needed or all treatment complete
* Dental Class 2 - Treatment needed, however a dental emergency is not likely within six months,
* Dental Class 3 - Non-Deployable - immediate treatment needed, likely to have a dental emergency within six months
* Dental Class 4 - Non-Deployable - Patient requires a periodic oral evaluation (more than 15 months since last dental check-up) or Panoramic X-Ray not present in dental record.
We apologize, but we no longer offer walk-in exams. All exams are now performed with a cleaning and must be scheduled in advance.
Andrew Rader Dental Clinic proudly supports the dental health needs of eligible Service Members assigned to the National Capital Region. We proivde all types of dental care to include preventive services, routine dental treatment, emergency dental care, and referrals to specialty care not available directly in our clinic.
We are sorry, but the Andrew Rader Dental Clinic does not provide any care to Retiree or Family members. Eligible Service members seen in our clinic are: Active Duty military as well as Reserve Component Soldiers serving on a current set of orders >30 days. All Soldiers will be asked to provide a copy of orders when they inprocess. This information is necessary to assure we provide timely service and properly address your dental needs.
Our clinic policy requires our staff to verify that we have a current copy of orders on file before they can schedule you for any care. If there is not a copy on file or if it has expired, please email, fax, or drop off a copy for us before you call to schedule your appointment.
